New Products Our newest wines include the Murphy Goode Cabernet recently featured by Doug Harmon in the Times Record News. He has rated this wine as a Must Buy at 91 points "which has a smooth and sexy deep crimson color, with smoky aromas and flavors or blackberry, raspberry, and chocolate and ending with a velvetty smooth finish of tannins and a touch of vanilla oak". The new Cupcake Wines (all varietals) are now available at Local Boys. Featured in the Jan 28th edition of the Time Record News, these wines are highly rated for a very reasonable price of $12.99. The Sauvignon Blanc starts with a grape sourced from New Zealand and all the other varietals come from the Central Coast of California. We have two new Texas Wines in stock (recently tasted at the Pelican's texas wine dinner) was the Messina Hoff Pinot Grigio and the Becker Viognier! We also added the Becker Claret on the recommendation of a Pelican customer! We now have a new Chardonnay featured recently by Mr. Harmon in the Times Record News; its the Franciscan 2006 Chardonnay; it was rated very high at a "90 points" by Doug and is one that you should definitely try! The most recent new red wine brought into inventory is "337 Cabernet Sauvignon; this "clone" wine originated from a berry grown in the Bordeaux region of France and was imported into the Lodi region of the Sierra Nevada foothills; it was rated "90" points in last weeks Time Record News by Doug Harmon; very moderated priced at $12.99! Olema Cabernet from the Napa Valley is a new medium price wine highly recommended by wine consultant Doug Harmon; we also brought in an Australian Wine featured at the Senior Junior Forum 2008 Winefest called Pillar Box Red; finally we added a 2006 Moscato D'Asti by Castello de Poggio; this is a very nice D'Asti that sells for $13.99. Zaca Mesa Chardonnay, Viognier & Z3 Red Wine are from a Santa Ynez Valley estate vineyard and are truly premium wines. They were featured in the March 9, 2008 Times Record News wine article by Doug Harmon. They are described on my wine page of this website. Just arrived is the new Crown Royal Cask #16; this is a blend of Crown that has been aged in Rare Cognac Casks from the Limousin Forest in France, which impart subtle hints of rich, dried fruit and create the balanced yet complex taste of Crown Royal Cask # 16. Stella Artois - premium lager from Belgium! We now carry the Texas Hill Country vineyard's Orange Muscato; this is a Johnson County vineyard and a special request by a regular Local Boys customer. Our new wines also include a "New Age" white wine from Argentina and a Velt.1 white wine from Austria. See our wine page for more information. We have a new supply of Wichita Falls Vineyard Merlot and their Zinfandel at a new (much) lower price! A few new specialty beers have arrived! Julius Echter Dunkle (a german beer) and an Avery IPA. In addition, we have Flying Dog Double Pale Ale, DogToberfest and Woodpecker Cider! Come in and check them out! Smirnoff has just introduced several new products; we have a ready to drink Grand Cosmopolitan by Smirnoff made with Grand Marnier as well as a new Smirnoff Blueberry flavored vodka. We also have their new Smirnoff RTD Mojito in a 750 ml. In the 6 pack long necks, they have introduced a new Green Tea and a Lemon Tea. These drinks are quite refreshing and do taste just like a nice glass of ice tea (with a little kick for added benefit). Smirnoff Ice has introduced a new flavor called Arctic Berry and now they have a Pomegranite. Kahlua has come out with two new flavors as well. We are now carrying their new Hazelnut and French Vanilla. Michelob has brought out two new flavored Ultra's; we are carrying their new Lime as well as their Pomegranate Raspberry. Both are quite delicious. We just brought quite a few new wines in from our local vineyard, Wichita Falls Vineyard. We now stock/carry their delicious Port Chocolate Wine Sauce, their Rachel's Rose, Zinfandel, Port, Riesling and their Gewurztraminer. We have a new Belgian Ale, the MaredSous Ale and a new Pale Ale called the Great Divide Denver Pale Ale. Trader Vic - Macadamia Nut Liqueur - Delicious sweet liqueur!
